To sign up, you'll need to click the “Request Access” button on the March of Giants Steam page. The Closed Alpha is limited to PC players in North America and will only be available in English. A Steam account is required to sign up.
If selected, you'll receive an email notification from Steam. Given that this game is in the early stages of development, the developers are initially looking to gather feedback from a focused group of players before expanding the testing to a wider audience. As a result, only a limited number of participants will be selected for this Closed Alpha phase. Linking your Amazon Games iD to your Steam and Discord account provides a variety of perks and rewards but is not required to participate in the Alpha test.
The Closed Alpha for March of Giants begins on Tuesday, September 2nd at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET and runs until Wednesday, September 10th.
Sept 2: 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET
Weekdays: 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET to 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET
Weekends: 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET to 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET

Our studio maintains a strict no-tolerance policy toward cheating or actions designed to gain unfair advantages. We use protection systems and active monitoring to detect and prevent cheating, while partnering with AWS security engineers for robust infrastructure.
We'll use insights from the Closed Alpha, together with other planned initiatives, to inform future tests and deliver ongoing improvements to our anti-cheat systems. Players can report suspicious behavior in-game or via Discord to help us investigate.

Encountering disruptive players or cheaters in your matches? If you witness disruptive behavior, cheating, or any violations of our Code of Conduct, please use the in-game player report feature to help us maintain a fair gaming environment.
How to Report a Player In-Game
During a match
Open the menu (default key: Esc)
Locate the player you want to report
Click the flag icon next to their Display Name
Select up to 3 reasons for your report in the modal window
Click "Report Player" to submit your report
What Happens Next?
Our moderation team reviews every report submitted. Appropriate action is taken against players found to be cheating or violating our rules, which may include warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent game bans depending on the severity.
Important Guidelines
Reporting is anonymous; reported players cannot see who reported them
Don't threaten to report; avoid telling players you're reporting them
Report individually; don't ask other players to mass-report someone
Be accurate; only report genuine violations you've witnessed
Your reports help us protect the integrity of March of Giants and ensure everyone can enjoy fair, competitive matches.
Players can use the Game Session ID (generally called Match ID) when reporting players for cheating or disruptive behavior, providing a reference point for investigations.
How to Find Your Game Session ID
Look at the bottom-left corner of your screen during any ongoing match
The Game Session ID appears as a series of letters and numbers
Include this ID when submitting reports through our Discord channel or contacting support
Why It's Important
The Game Session ID helps our developers quickly locate and analyze specific matches for debugging, investigating reports, and resolving issues.
Game crashes are often caused by third-party software that interferes with game processes.
Common culprits include:
Overlays (Nvidia GeForce Overlay, Discord Overlay, Overwolf etc.)
Antivirus software with real-time scanning
Debugging tools or development software
Virtual environments (VMs, emulators)
System modification
To resolve:
Disable third-party overlays and background software
Temporarily disable antivirus real-time protection
Close unnecessary programs running in the background
Restart the game to test stability
Re-enable software one at a time to identify the specific cause
Additional steps:
Update your graphics drivers to the latest version
Verify game files through Steam "Verify integrity of game files"
Run the game as administrator if the issue persists
File corruption can be caused by a bad installation or hardware issues. Repairing, deleting, and/or reinstalling the game should resolve this issue.
To repair via Steam:
Right-click the game in your Steam library
Select "Properties"
Go to "Installed Files"
Click "Verify integrity of game files"
If the issue persists after verification, try a complete reinstall of the game.

We take violations against our Code of Conduct seriously. Depending on the severity of the infraction, we may issue a permanent ban without previously issuing a warning or suspension. We want our games to be safe and inviting places for everyone and we take that responsibility seriously.
Penalties against your account due to violations of the Code of Conduct can include the following:
Temporary suspensions
Permanent bans
Penalty Types
What's a temporary suspension?
A temporary suspension can result when you commit an infraction against the Code of Conduct.
The infraction was deemed severe enough to temporarily suspend you from playing the game. The behavior leading to temporary suspension can include repeated minor infractions, or more severe violations of the Code of Conduct. A temporary suspension ranges from 24-168 hours, but can be longer depending on the severity of the infraction and past behavior.
While we do not wish to remove players from the game, we’re dedicated to maintaining a safe, fun, and fair environment within our games. If you've recently received a temporary suspension, we recommend reviewing the Code of Conduct to ensure that you don’t commit additional infractions that could result in a permanent ban from the game.
What's a ban?
A permanent ban from the game is the result of severe or repeated infractions against the Code of Conduct.
The infractions can include:
Receiving multiple penalties and continuing to violate the Code of Conduct.
A single violation deemed severe enough that you're no longer allowed to access the game.
Appeal a Penalty
If you believe that have you incorrectly received a penalty, you can appeal by following the steps here. There are no other channels for appealing your penalty. Filing multiple appeal tickets won't expedite the appeal process, and we won't review an appeal request more than once.
